Literature Text

A/N: Due to some important subjects and a different culture (and simply because what was right centuries ago it's seen as awful in modern times), the characters' ages will be over 16.

Or at least Ludwig will not be 13 years old.

There will not be a specific age, that's up to the reader's consent.

Rating:  Master-pieces don't have ratings. (No, wait, this is a fanfic, it must have one... ok, is R-[Ludwig's age], so, yeah, you decide his age)

Warning: zhe characters art not going to speak-a like zhis, because is ‘ard as scone to write it. Except for Arthur, because in most of the fanfictions, everybody speaks like above and then there are Alfred and Arthur, so, look how the tables have turned now…

Disclaimer: I have never heard of anything like "Romeo & Juliet"... Nor Hetalia.

Act II

Prologue:

(Enters APH Knight Templar)

–APH Knight Templar:

Now old desire doth in his death-bed lie,

And young affection gapes to be his heir;

That fair for which love groaned for and would die,

With tender Ludwig matched, is now not fair.

Now Feliciano is beloved and loves again,

Alike betwitched by the charm of looks,

But to his foe supposed he must complain,

And he steals love's sweet bait from fearful hooks:

Being held a foe, he may not have access

To breathe such vows as lovers use to swear;

And he as much in love, his means much less

To meet his new-beloved anywhere:

But passion lends them power, time means, to meet

Tempering extremities with extreme sweet.

… Too many males.

(Exits)

Scene 1, part 1, I didn’t go to school for this.

A lane by the wall of Beilschmidt’s orchard.

(Enters Feliciano)

–APH Veneziano:

Can I go forward when my heart is here?

Turn back, dull earth, and your center out.

He tries to climb the wall, but fails.

(Enter Francis and Feliks)

–APH France: Feli, sweet and cute, Feli! Are you hurt somewhere?

–APH Poland: Like, what are you doing there?

–APH Veneziano: Help me climb this wall. My sweetheart is over this block of bricks!

Francis and Feliks help Feliciano to climb the wall.

–APH Poland: Be careful when lan-

Feliciano yelps as he falls and hits his face against the grass.

–APH Poland: -ding… (Sighs)

–APH France: [To Feliciano, through the wall] Are you okay, sweetie? Do you need your big brother’s help?

–APH Veneziano: [Through the garden wall] No, thanks, big brother Francis, I’m sure my words will persuade him.

–APH France: I was talking about your brother, Lovino.

–APH Veneziano: Oh? Yeah, him… yeah.

–APH France: (Thinks) Hey, Gilbert only lives with his little brother. (Little gasp) F-Feli, you…?

–APH Poland: (Gasps louder) You fell in love with that ignorant blond potato-man?!

No one answers, because Feliciano has left.

–APH Poland: I’m definitely not going to that wedding.

Scene 2, part 1: Your prince has come.

Beilschmidt’s Orchard.

Feliciano fixes his looks.

Ludwig hears a sound, so he appears at the balcony.

–APH Germany: (Angrily) What are yo-

–APH Veneziano:

But, soft! What light through yonder window breaks?

It is the east, and Ludwig is the sun.

Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon,

Who is already sick and pale with grief…

Ah! A dog!

[Loud barking at the background]

–APH Germany: Be careful you… Hey!

–APH Veneziano: Bwah, the dogs are angry! (Quickly climbs the balcony)

–APH Germany: (surprised/shocked) G-g-get out!

–APH Veneziano: (Looks at the yard, where the dogs bark at him) (Sighs in relief) Oh. (Turns around) Oh. ‘Morning, sweetheart~.

–APH Germany: (Flatly) It’s midnight.

–APH Veneziano: I’m sorry for this unexpected appearance, darling, but I didn’t know you had dogs… Three big dogs…

Gilbert’s voice at the background: West! What’s happening West!? Why are they barking?

–APH Germany: (yelps) Quick, get in before he sees you. (Takes Feliciano and brings him inside) Safe.

They stay in silence for a moment.

–APH Germany: (gasps)

–APH Veneziano: (gasps higher) Nice room.

–APH Germany: W-when bruder gets inside, I’ll kick you to the street.

–APH Veneziano: Why so cold, baby? We have a lot of things in common; we both have brothers, we call them in our mother tongue, we come from a family that wants to mutilate each other… Er… I’m already at your room, that’s a big step!

–APH Germany: Shut up!

Part 2, Prussian blue.

[Gilbert’s voice from outside]: West!

–APH Germany: Coming!

He gets to the balcony.

–APH Prussia: Has something happened?

–APH Germany: (with a lump in the throat) No; nothing.

 –APH Prussia: Oh, okay.

Ludwig exits… Actually, he enters.

–APH Prussia: (Sad) Ah, my poor West, in a few days, we’ll never see again.

Part 3, Bedtime stories.

–APH Germany: You’re in big troubles, sir. Once Gilbert exits, I’ll show you no mercy.

–APH Veneziano: Don’t call me “sir”, I prefer Feliciano, or Feli… Or sweetheart.

–APH Germany: Stop it.

–APH Veneziano: I don’t want to.

–APH Germany: Feli no.

–APH Veneziano: Feli yes.

–APH Germany: Why do you do this?

–APH Veneziano: (takes Ludwig’s hand in his) Because I’m in love with you.

–APH Germany: (Blushes) Really?

–APH Veneziano: For real.

–APH Germany: But… Me… You… We can’t be together; I’m a Beilschmidt and you’re a Vargas… And we’re males.

–APH Veneziano: I don’t care. I couldn’t care less. I want to be with you, even if it’s behind my family’s back… And society’s.

–APH Germany: (looks down) Okay, you can stay for now. (Sits down on bed, crossing his arms over his chest)

Feliciano sits down next to him.

–APH Veneziano: I like you. And for the way you act, I think you like me back.

–APH Germany: (Surprised) How did yo- I mean, why do you think like that?

–APH Veneziano:

My darling, by yonder blessed moon I swear

That tips with silver all these fruit-tree tops--

–APH Germany:

Don’t swear on the moon.

It changes every day, every time you look at it.

If you swear your love by the moon, it means

it’ll change next day.

–APH Veneziano: What shall I swear by?

–APH Germany:

Don’t swear at all; but, if you do,

Swear by your gracious self,

And I’ll believe you.

–APH Veneziano: See? Totally in love with me. I feel so flattered~.

–APH Germany: Who said I was in love with you?! It’s not like I’m very interested in you, like really, really interested, or something like that, you… you pervert!

–APH Veneziano: (grabs the German’s cheek) Ludwig, my dear, I deal with Lovino every day of my life; I know to read between the lines.

–APH Germany: [Blank expression]

–APH Veneziano: Hey, soft cheeks~

–APH Germany: (slaps his hand away)

–APH Veneziano: (Sigh) Okay, I get it; you’re the type that wants to marry a virgin.

–APH Germany: … Goodnight.

–APH Veneziano: Will you leave me so unsatisfied?

–APH Germany: Which satisfaction were you expecting?

–APH Veneziano: I don’t want to leave while we’re not even something.

–APH Germany: You… Want to be friends?

–APH Veneziano: More than just friends.

–APH Germany: I guess… we could be allies.

–APH Veneziano: (shocked) A-allies? (Ludwig nods) Yeah… Well, that’s better than friends.

Gilbert calls within.

–APH Germany: Oh no, he’s coming. Quick, get out. (Pulls Feliciano toward the window)

–APH Veneziano: But-!

–APH Germany: We’ll… talk tomorrow. If my brother finds you, he’ll never leave rest. He’ll joke about it for the rest of my life. Please, exit.

Feliciano starts climbing down the balcony.

–APH Veneziano: Tomorrow? It’s a promise then. I’ll meet you at the plaza at nine o’ clock (Blows a kiss)

–APH Germany: Auf Wiedersehen, Feliciano.

Feliciano exits.

Part 4, Over the wall.

The wall.

[Loud barking at the background]

Feliciano starts climbing the wall back to the street.

–APH France: Feli! Are you okay?

–APH Poland: Tell me everything with details.

–APH Veneziano: Ve, you guys, you waited for me~?

–APH France: Of course, you little piece of cuteness.

–APH Veneziano: Geez you guys~

Francis and Feliks help him land.

–APH France: And?

–APH Veneziano: Allies-zoned.

–APH Poland: I told you that blunt potato was like that. He barely goes outside.

–APH Veneziano: (yawns) Well, it’s has been a successful night for me.

–APH France: Only the allies’ part?

–APH Veneziano: I’ll explain it fully to you while we walk to home.

Scene 3, part 1, Sweet love o’ mine

Vargas’ house.

(Enters Grandpa Rome)

–APH Rome: Oh, Lovino, my son, how’s been your day!

–APH Romano: (Chewing a tomato) Fine, I guess.

–APH Spain: Welcome home!

–APH Rome: (Sits down) Ah, life is hard…

–APH Romano: What now?

–APH Spain: What happened, sir?

–APH Rome: Well, I went to Ivan’s office, and damn that place needs a redecoration… Antonio, I need a glass of wine… And we talked about that argument that happened earlier, (Sips glass) and things got difficult; either sent one of you to become one with his church or not arguing anymore. I opted for the second.

–APH Romano: Why didn’t you send Feliciano?

–APH Rome: (Angry) Lovino! Don’t say that about your brother.

–APH Romano: Just saying.

–APH Rome: Besides, I want to have great-grandchildren, and you haven’t done anything to guarantee it.

–APH Romano: I hit with… Five girls today.

–APH Rome: And where are the parents asking me for their daughters?

–APH Romano: … Blame Antonio.

Antonio chuckles.

–APH Rome: Why?

–APH Romano: Because whenever I’m flirting he stares at me with that… annoying face… of his and that doesn’t let me concentrate.

–APH Rome: And what kind of face is that?

–APH Spain: (Innocent smile and thumbs up) You’re doing great, Lovi~.

–APH Romano: T-that’s not the right one. Well, it is, but only sometimes. He often looks at me with… Puppy eyes… And sometimes he just looks at them darkly… And he always whisper things in Spanish, like “Lovino, no”, “Te va a robar la casa”, “Esa furcia va por tu dinero”, “Su aliento huele a polla” and things like that.

–APH Rome: [To Antonio] And what does that mean?

–APH Spain: … That they’re amazing people, but not enough for my Lovi- I mean, for your son.

–APH Rome: [Muttering to himself] I think I should worry now…

(Enter Feliciano, Francis and Feliks)

–APH France: [To Feliciano] You’re doing great, Feli. Two, maybe three days more and you’ll be walking down the street holding hands.

–APH Veneziano: Ve~ I hope so.

–APH Rome: (Completely forgets about what happened a few moments ago) Ah, Feli, my grandson and my pride, welcome home.

–APH Veneziano: What happened?

–APH Rome: Tell me you’ll give me great-grandchildren.

–APH Veneziano: (Clueless) “I’ll give you great-grandchildren”

–APH Rome: (satisfied sigh) Great. Now, what were you doing outside at this hour?

–APH Veneziano: I went to a party and met my soulmate.

–APH Rome: [To Lovino] Huh! See? That’s how Vargas’ do! [To Feliciano] What happened?

–APH Veneziano: We met a few hours ago, but we’re in the allies-zone.

–APH Rome: … That’s better than the friend-zone! (Yawns) You know what? Tell me tomorrow how it went. Goodnight everyone. (Goes to the staircase) Ha! And that Ivan guy wanted one of my sons to become one… (Exits)

Part 2, Time.

–APH Spain: How is she?

–APH Veneziano: Eh… Mmm… His name’s Ludwig.

–APH Spain: He?

–APH Romano: (Angry) That bastard?!

–APH Veneziano: (Shy nod)

Grandpa Rome rushes downstairs.

–APH Rome: Is that true?!

–APH Veneziano: Si, nonno.

–APH Rome: I never thought that you were into that kind of things…

–APH Veneziano: Guys?

–APH Rome: Virgins.

–APH Spain: ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Scene 4, part 1, Lovely gown.

The plaza.

(Enters Feliciano)

–APH Veneziano: (Nervous) I’m so nervous… (Looks around) He hasn’t arrived yet. (Depressed sigh) The only time in my life that I get up early, just to arrive thirty minutes before my date.

Sits down on the fountain.

(Enters Gilbert)

–APH Prussia: (Gasps) (Takes a deep breath and goes toward the Italian) Good morning, sir… I mean, not-so-awesome person.

–APH Veneziano: (Not so surprised) Oh, same to you, sir.

–APH Gilbert: [Trying not to scream nor squeal] … Why did you come here?

–APH Veneziano: It’s a plaza, why not?

–APH Prussia: … Yeah. (Looks around nervously) I… The awesome me has to go.

–APH Veneziano: Have a nice trip.

–APH Prussia: Yes… You’re talking about the awesome me like I’d need your… adorable blessing… Haha, you’re pathetic… Hehe. (Blushes and goes away)

–APH Veneziano: People is so weird, ve~.

Part 2, The brother.

(Enters Ludwig)

(Gilbert arrives running)

–APH Germany: Oh, bruder, is everything okay?

–APH Prussia: Eh? Yeah… Nothing harmful… Just… feelings… And cute things (Looks down)

–APH Germany: Are you blushing?

–APH Prussia: I’ll pick you up in an hour… Bye! (Runs away and exits)

–APH Germany: … Okay.

He walks until he founds Feliciano.

–APH Germany: [To himself] Oh no, there he is. What should I say?

Feliciano turns around.

–APH Veneziano: (Stands up and runs toward him) LLLLLLUUUUUUDDDDDWWWWWIIIIIIGGGGGGGG~!

–APH Germany: You’re running too fast… Where are you going? ... Wait, stop, stop STOP STOP STOOOPPP- (Feliciano hugs him so thigh, strong and fast that they fall to the ground)

–APH Veneziano: Oh, il mio amore, la mia vita, il mio cuore; mio bello; mio caro...

Feliciano kept saying things in Italian. Ludwig doesn’t say anything, because he thinks it’s hot.

–APH Germany: … Eh… Feliciano? I… want to get up.

–APH Veneziano: Oh… yes.

Both stand up and sit down on the fountain.

–APH Germany: I want to ask… What did you say before?

–APH Veneziano: I could tell you, but English is so mundane and heartless that it wouldn’t have the same effect.

–APH Germany: Were they nice things?

–APH Veneziano: More than that; Lovely things.

–APH Germany: … I love the Italian language, could you keep saying things like that?

–APH Veneziano: I’d whisper nice things to your ear every day, tesoro mio.  But what if you tell me some nice, juicy nice things too?

–APH Germany: My… Everybody says my language it’s very rude… Whenever I speak it, the rest gets scared and runs away…

–APH Veneziano: Lies! Every language is beautiful!

–APH Germany: (Eyes full of hope and sparkles) R-really? (Looks down) Danke… Schönheit.

–APH Veneziano: Do you know a way that’d guarantee you I’ll tell you loving words every day of my life? (Ludwig shakes his head) If we were living together, I would wake you up with a lot of kisses, surprise you with breakfast in bed, kiss your neck inch by inch, get my head between your thighs mumbling poems, give you flowers and cook you pasta whenever you wanted.

They share a wordless-yet-meaningful look. [Pink shonen-ai sparkles appear]

–APH Germany: I’d love to…

Feliciano smiles

–APH Germany: But I can’t.

Feliciano’s jaw drops.

–APH Veneziano: (Whinny, childish cry) But why?????

–APH Germany: I think it’s time I tell you; in a few days, I’ll be send away, far, far away from here, and we’ll never meet again.

–APH Veneziano: (Eyes full of tears) Ve?!

–APH Germany: I… I’m sorry I haven’t told you earlier.

–APH Veneziano: But you can leave me! I love you! Ti  amo… Ti amo così tanto che non so cosa farei senza di te; Quindi non so se potevo rimanere sano di mente; forse morire mentre me ...

–APH Germany: … I didn’t understand a single word, but I’m sure it was beautiful. [That sharp breath you take before crying]

–APH Veneziano: (Sobbing) Can’t you change it?

–APH Germany: I’m not sure…

They press their foreheads together; Feliciano’s fingers caressing Ludwig’s.

–APH Germany: No, wait, I think I actually can!

Scene 5, part 1, Our leader more wants friends.

Ivan’s office.

–APH Russia: (Playing with a sunflower petal) Ah~ It’s so boring… being alone… in my office… big office… with no one else to play with… Just me and my sunflower-bud-buddy. Hehe, that rhymes… (Looks around)

Nothing happens.

–APH Russia: (Huffs) That man sold me cheap tricks! There isn’t a nice lady here… Raivis!

(Raivis enters)

–APH Latvia: Y-yes, oh-great-and-powerful Mr. Ivan?

–APH Russia: Do you remember that now-not-so gentle man that offered me that “little trick” that would get me friends?

Raivis nods.

–APH Russia: I want his head-

Raivis gasps.

–APH Russia: -shot

Higher gasp.

–APH Russia: In the Wall of Shame… Why do you gasp every time I speak? You’ll lose your breath. If you don’t know how to get a headshot of him, just tell me his name.

–APH Latvia: I… I’ll do my best, sir!

Exits.

Re-enters.

–APH Latvia: Sorry, I forgot to tell you that you have visitors.

–APH Russia: Who are?

–APH Latvia: Their names are Vurghus and Bellshmee… Bergas and Vensheell… Yogurt and bells… Valghurt and Beishmisky, something like that.

–APH Russia: (Excited) Beaishmissky, that funny-accent guy!? Let him in!

–APH Latvia: Okay… Even if I’m not sure, sir.

Part 2, Who dat?

Raivis opens the door.

–APH Latvia: Mr. Ivan wants you in.

–APH Veneziano: Oh… Eh… This is why I hate this language; these things don’t happen in Italian; (Sigh) “You” for us (Points himself and Ludwig) or “you” for him?

–APH Latvia: (Unsecure “hm”)

Part 3, Go-go, friendship power!

(Enter Raivis, Ludwig and Feliciano)

–APH Russia: Ah, Beaishmissky, my man! It’s been so long!

Everybody stays quiet for a moment.

–APH Russia: ( ^ J ^ ) Ah, Ludwig, it’s you. I thought you were someone else… (Keeps vodka bottle under the desk) What brings you here in this wonderful day?

–APH Ludwig: Well, it’s about… The negotiation you and my father did.

–APH Russia: ( = J = ) Ah. And is this your friend? (Points to Feliciano)

Ludwig nods.

Feliciano waves his hand.

–APH Russia: And what specific part do you want to talk about? Are you ready to become one? And your little friend is here to say goodbye to you? That’s so cute and nice~ (  J   )  *:・゚✧

–APH Germany: Actually, no.

–APH Russia: ( J ) Huh?

–APH Germany: I… I don’t want to become one with the church.

[Moment of silence]

[Suspense music starts playing]

Raivis yelps at the tension.

–APH Russia: (Not a specific emotion) [Deep, emotional Russian accent] Why?

Both Ludwig and Feliciano look down, trying to find the correct words.

–APH Germany: Because… I want to be… Best friends… with someone.

–APH Veneziano: (Dissapointed) JUST FRIENDS?!

–APH Germany: (Near of suffering a break-down) Keep… your mouth shut.

–APH Veneziano: (Looks directly at his eyes) I thought we had something special!

[Dramatic music sound effect]

–APH Russia: I’m going to ask this only once; is there something more than friendship between you two?

Feliciano looks at Ludwig with big, puppy, unconsciously-seductive-for-the-German eyes.

–APH Germany: (Gulps) Maybe.

Feliciano smiles, full of hope and those nice sensations you have when you’re about to spend the rest of your life with your meaningful other.

–APH Russia: Because, if you want to, instead of becoming one, you can marry someone.

–APH Germany & Veneziano: Really?

–APH Russia: ( ͡° ͜J ͡°)  Of course, come this way.

(All exit)

(It's here :D
Hope you enjoy!)

I don't know if you have noticed it already, but it probably won't end the same way as Romeo and Juliet (I don't know; I simply can't kill major characters :P)

ehm…gimme a moment… *feels dizzy*

OK! No doubts I really loved this chapter too and I like your writing style very much! Keep up the great work! Waiting for the next to come out!

p.s. and of course it won't end like Romeo and Juliet, I mean what kind of unforgivable soul would kill them? XD
